Tracy and Steve
I had the pleasure to photograph this lovely California couple’s wedding over the weekend at Keiki Beach on the North Shore. Keiki Beach is near Shark's Cove and right by the Keiki Beach Bungalows. Tracy and Steve decided to go with a small intimate destination wedding with just two of their friends, the minister, and me the photographer. The wedding took place one hour before sunset that way it gave us time to photograph portraits before and during the sunset, like the pictures below.
Their small hawaiian destination wedding was the right choice for them. They wanted it intimate and not complicated. I think destination weddings are wonderful in the way that you don't have to spend a lot of money, you can go to a beautiful and remote location, and it can be close family and friends, or just the couple themselves. Destination weddings in Hawaii are nice because there are so many different beaches to get married on and many options. It also allows for more portraits of the couple together rather than having a large wedding. You can always shoot for two portrait locations as well to get some different and unique backdrops for your photos. It allows the bride and groom as well as the photographer to not be so stressed and can allow for more creativity in creating photos.
I highly recommend destination weddings in Hawaii oh and also trash the dress sessions while you are here to get some cool water photos!
